  • 1 cup flour

How to Make Zesty Lemon Cream Cheese Coffee Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it well.
  2. Mix together 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 cups of flour, and 1/2 cup of cold cubed butter until crumbly.
  3. Beat 8 ounces of full-fat cream cheese with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, the zest of 1 lemon, and 1 large egg until smooth.
  4. Combine the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl to create your cake batter.
  5. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter evenly.
  7. Add the remaining cake batter over the cream cheese layer, smoothing it out gently.
  8. Top with the crumble mixture and bake for about 50 minutes.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the baking dish for about 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
