- In a large bowl, whisk together 3 cups of flour, 2 tsp of instant yeast, and 2 tsp of salt until well blended.
- Pour in 1.5 cups of very warm tap water. Stir gently until the ingredients are fully combined, creating a sticky dough.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and set it in a warm area for 2-3 hours until the dough has roughly doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). This temperature ensures a wonderfully crisp crust.
- Turn the risen dough onto a well-floured surface and gently shape it into a ball.
- Place your shaped dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or inside a preheated Dutch oven.
- Dust the top of the dough with an additional sprinkle of flour and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
- Pop the bread in the oven and bake for 30-42 minutes, until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
