How to Make Sbrisolona al Pistacchio
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
- Mix the Italian 00 flour, ground pistachios, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cut in the cold unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the egg until well combined, ensuring everything comes together into a moist dough.
- Press half of the crumbly mixture into the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
- Spread the pistachio cream evenly over the crumb base.
- Crumble the remaining mixture over the pistachio cream.
- Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow your Sbrisolona al Pistacchio to cool in the dish for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
