  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Five-spice powder
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
For Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon White sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped scallion

Steps
  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, five-spice powder, Chinese rice wine, sesame oil, and sugar until well blended.
  2. In a pan, heat oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant and golden.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in the pan and pour the prepared soy sauce mixture over them.
  4. Allow the chicken to sizzle for approximately 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. Remove the chicken from the heat and sprinkle with white sesame seeds and chopped scallion before serving.
