Basic Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl: whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt until well mixed.
- Cut in the cold salted butter using a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In another bowl, mix together 1 cup of cold buttermilk, 1 large egg, and 1 tablespoon of vinegar until just combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir gently until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times.
- Roll to about ¾ inch thick and cut into biscuits using a biscuit cutter or glass.
- Place cut biscuits on a baking sheet and brush the tops with melted salted butter.
- Drizzle honey over the biscuits and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
