Preparation
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add sage leaves and salt to the melted butter, stirring gently and cooking until fragrant.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread sage butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer Fontina and goat cheese on the unbuttered sides of half the bread slices.
- Assemble sandwiches by topping with remaining bread, buttered side up.
- Cook in the skillet until golden brown and cheese melts, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
