How to Make Moist Almond Cream Cake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Mix in a large mixing bowl by combining 2 cups of almond flour, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, and 2 teaspoons of baking powder.
- Beat together 4 large eggs and 1 cup of sugar until pale and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter and mix into the egg-and-sugar mixture, along with 1 cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of almond extract.
- Fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients gradually until just combined.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- For the Frosting: Beat together 8 oz of cream cheese and 2 cups of powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Frost the cooled cake generously with the cream cheese frosting.
