- In a pot, mix together the minced garlic, soy sauce, dark soy sauce (if using), mirin, sugar, Korean syrup, black pepper, and water.
- Toss the chopped potatoes into the pot, stirring gently to coat each piece.
- Bring the pot to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, remove the lid and continue cooking for a few more minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Drizzle the sesame oil over the hot potatoes and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
