  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper freshly cracked
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup hot honey or regular honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
For the Citrus Slaw
  • 4 cups green cabbage
  • 1 cup carrots shaved
  • 1/2 cup red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 oranges segments
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or olive oil

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken thighs in a bowl with kosher salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Brush the seasoned chicken thighs with apple cider vinegar, hot honey, and BBQ sauce.
  4. Cook the chicken thighs for 6 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Combine the green cabbage, shaved carrots, red onion, cilantro, sliced almonds, and orange segments in a bowl.
  6. Whisk together lime juice, honey, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  7. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss to combine.
  8. Serve the chicken thighs alongside the citrus slaw.
