- Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the olive oil. Let it warm for about a minute.

- Combine the drained cannellini beans with 4 cups of vegetable broth, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, red chili flakes, black pepper, and salt.
- Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Add the chopped kale or baby spinach and cook just until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
