How to Make Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Christmas Trees
- Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the puff pastry package.
- Gently roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the puff pastry into whimsical tree shapes using a knife or cookie cutter.
- Place a slice of deli ham and a slice of cheese on each tree shape, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the fillings, creating a pocket. Place each tree on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley for the glaze.
- Brush the glaze generously over the pastry trees.
- If desired, sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top.
- Bake according to the puff pastry package instructions, typically for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Once baked, carefully insert a wooden skewer into each tree for easy serving.

Notes
Ensure puff pastry is fully thawed and not overfilled. Chill formed trees for extra flakiness before baking.
