Method
 

Preparation
  1. Drizzle canola oil over the shishito peppers, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  2. Combine the glaze ingredients in a bowl: sesame oil, minced onion, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, water, mirin, honey, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and water. Stir until smooth.
  3. Grill the shishito peppers on a preheated grill over medium heat until they’re slightly blistered, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Baste the grilled peppers with the prepared sesame glaze using a brush or spoon for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve the peppers hot, garnished with toasted sesame seeds and optional Korean red pepper flakes.
