- In a large skillet, warm the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Add the sweet onion wedges to the skillet. Cook them until softened and slightly caramelized, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the dry red wine (or chicken broth) and increase the heat just until it simmers.
- Stir in the balsamic vinegar and honey, mixing well. Let that simmer for another minute.
- Gently add the smoked pork chops to the skillet. Cook them until heated through, about 5-8 minutes.
- Finally, add the pear wedges. Cook until they turn tender, around 3-5 minutes.
