  1. Press your tofu to remove excess moisture, wrapping it in a kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add both oil and vegan butter, letting the butter melt completely.
  3. Sauté the sage and onion seasoning in the pan for a few minutes.
  4. Add garlic powder if using, then stir in the pressed tofu, breaking it into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Pour in the vegan chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in oyster mushrooms and sliced green onions, cooking until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
