How to Make Flavorful and Tender Vegan Turkey
  1. Start by pressing the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and vegan butter over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add 2+ tablespoons of sage and onion seasoning to the heated oil and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the pressed tofu, breaking it apart with a spatula, and mix in ¼ - ½ teaspoon of garlic powder if using.
  5. Pour in ½ cup of vegan chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Fold in 1 cup of shaved oyster mushrooms and 3-4 sliced green onions, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
