Making the Rolls
- Combine lukewarm milk, yeast, and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add the eggs, bread flour, softened butter, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Transfer it to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Mix brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and softened butter for the filling.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle and spread the filling over it.
- Tightly roll the dough into a log and cut it into 12 equal rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and allow to rise for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the cream cheese icing over the warm cinnamon rolls and finish with dulce de leche.
