How to Make Decadent Chocolate Orange Ricotta Scones
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and orange zest in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the chopped chocolate, ricotta cheese, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times, then pat it into a circle about 1-inch thick.
  6. Cut the dough into 8 wedges and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden on top.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with a mixture of powdered sugar and fresh orange juice.
