Marmalade Layer
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade for layering
Chocolate Drizzle

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined for a smooth texture.
  4. Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Spread half of the dough into the bottom of a prepared baking dish.
  7. Layer the orange marmalade evenly over the dough.
  8. Crumble the remaining dough on top of the marmalade layer, pressing gently.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
  11. Melt the dark chocolate chunks and drizzle generously over the cooled bars before serving.
