How to Make Crispy Wonton Mozzarella Sticks
- Start by pouring vegetable oil into a frying pan. Heat it up to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Take a wonton wrapper and lay it flat on your workspace. Place a mozzarella string cheese in the center.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg white and water until smooth.
- Dip a brush into the egg wash and lightly brush the edges of the wonton wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper over the cheese to create a pocket. Press the edges firmly to seal tightly.
- Gently place your sealed wontons into the hot oil. Fry for about 2 minutes.
- Carefully lift the wontons out of the oil and place them on a paper towel.
- Sprinkle the fried wontons with coarse salt and freshly grated Parmesan cheese while they’re still warm.
- Arrange your crispy delights on a platter and serve them warm alongside marinara sauce for dipping.
