Ingredients
  

For the Mushroom Base
  • 8 oz King Oyster Mushrooms Slice into ½ inch discs.
  • 1 cup Soy Milk Used for dipping.
For the Coating
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour Substitute with gluten-free flour if needed.
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Use seasoned panko for added flavor.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Or fresh minced garlic.
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika Substitute with regular paprika if needed.
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper Adjust based on spice preference.
For Frying
  • 1/2 cup Sesame Oil Can be replaced with vegetable oil.
For Garnishing
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Chopped Parsley For garnish.
  • 1 cup Vegan Yum Yum Sauce For dipping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice King Oyster mushrooms into ½ inch discs.
  2. Dip the mushroom slices into soy milk.
  3. Coat the dipped mushrooms in all-purpose flour.
  4. Roll the floured mushrooms in panko breadcrumbs mixed with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and ground black pepper.
  5. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the coated mushroom discs until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from the pan and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
  8. Serve with vegan yum yum sauce for dipping.
