  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry thawed
  • 1 large Egg beaten
For the Jam
  • 1/2 cup Strawberry jam or preserves good quality
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Milk

Method
 

Steps to Assemble
  1. Preheat your oven according to the puff pastry package instructions.
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Cut the pastry into squares and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
  6. Add a generous spoonful of strawberry jam on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.
  8. Fold the corners of each pastry square over the filling and pinch to seal.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 14 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed.
  10. Mix the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl to create a glaze.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the baked pastries once cooled.
