For the Chicken
  • 1 lb Chicken tenderloins or chicken thighs
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil for searing
For the Apples & Sauce
  • 2 Red apples sliced
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup preferably pure
  • 2 tbsp Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 slice Lime for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Season the chicken with paprika, chili powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken and set it aside on a plate to rest.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and sauté the sliced apples for about 3 minutes until just tender.
  6. Stir in the maple syrup and lime juice, allowing it to simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Return the seared chicken to the skillet and coat it with the apple mixture.
  8. Garnish with lime slices before serving.
