For the Biscuits
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked diced ham
  • 0.25 cup finely diced chives
For the Wet Mixture
  • 0.25 cup avocado oil
  • 0.5 cup cottage cheese
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 1 tbsp honey or hot honey
For Topping
  • 1 tsp flaky salt for sprinkling on top

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder, and kosher salt in a large bowl and stir well.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, diced ham, and chives.
  4. In another bowl, mix the avocado oil, cottage cheese, milk, melted butter, and honey until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, using a tablespoon for even portions.
  7. Sprinkle flaky salt on top of each biscuit.
  8. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
