  • 1 pound Ribeye Steak thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dark Sesame Oil
For the Fried Rice
  • 2 tablespoons Neutral Oil
  • 1 medium Shallot diced
  • 1 cup Carrots diced
  • 4 cups Day-Old Jasmine Rice
  • 2 large Large Eggs
  • 1 cup Kimchi
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions sliced
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro chopped

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Slice the ribeye steak into thin strips and place them in a bowl. Marinate with soy sauce, mirin, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, and dark sesame oil for 15 minutes to absorb all the flavors.
  2. Heat neutral oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté the diced shallot until it becomes translucent.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped carrots and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the day-old jasmine rice to the pan. Break up any clumps while mixing everything together.
  6. Push the rice mixture to the side of the pan. Crack the eggs into the empty space and scramble until cooked, then fold back into the rice.
  7. Fold in the kimchi, green onions, and chopped cilantro, combining everything until well mixed.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
