- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Combine the flour, baking powder, sea salt, and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Stir until mixed well.
- Add the cold, sliced unsalted butter and mix until crumbly, resembling coarse sand.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, cold heavy cream, and egg until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface until about 1 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes.
- Prepare the chocolate filling by melting the unsalted butter and mixing with powdered sugar, cocoa, and chopped dark chocolate.
- Place a small dollop of the chocolate filling in the center of each scone shape. Fold over the dough and seal the edges.
- Bake the scones for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few moments before serving.
